Rina Bergman is the Director of Downtown Programming at Central Synagogue, where she oversees all of Central's downtown programming for the LCLJ, early childhood and 20s/30s. In this role, she has the privilege of engaging with and growing Central's community in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. She previously served as a Full-Time Educator and later as Assistant Director in the LCLJ. Originally from Metro Detroit, Rina holds a BA in Arts and Humanities from Michigan State University and an MA in Judaic Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary. She now lives in Astoria with her husband and enjoys cooking, making art and traveling.
