Central Synagogue welcomes you to join our worship and other adult programming, all of which are available virtually at this time (click here for our calendar). Currently, in-person Friday night Shabbat services are open to members only, and Saturday morning in-person Mishkan services are open to the public with proof of vaccination and mandatory masking required. Members needing an exemption or attending with children under 12 should reach out to [email protected]. High Holy Days 2021 & Updated Worship Policies

Our ability to be together in person for services—Shabbat as well as the High Holidays—will always be guided by the most up-to-date medical information from federal, state, and city authorities, as well as from our committee of expert lay leaders. Given emerging data on the Delta variant, the COVID Task Force has made the unanimous recommendation to require masking of all worshipers at all services, regardless of vaccination status.

Reopening Update: Vaccination Policies

It has been wonderful to welcome members back for in-person Shabbat worship. News 12 Interviews Central Teens at Interfaith Day of Planting

On Sunday, June 6, New Yorkers of all different religions came out to Food for Others Garden in the South Bronx Sunday for an interfaith day of service. The nonprofit Green Box Machine brought together members from Central Synagogue, Riverside Church and other faith-based groups across the city to help with the community farm in Wakefield. News 12 was there and interviewed our teens.
