Families with young children gathered in the Pavilion for the last Tot Shabbat of the year dedicated to celebrating Rabbi Rubinstein. Our tots surprised Rabbi and Kerry by singing You Are My Sunshine, and Toby Riggi & Niko Harriton, co-chairs of the Nursery School Parents Association, presented Rabbi Rubinstein with a book prepared by children in our Nursery School filled with their memories of him and of Central Synagogue.

Upstairs in the Sanctuary, members of all ages enjoyed a festive and celebratory family-oriented Shabbat service.  Children from our Religious School sang Kol Tov Selah while two teens recited warm and heartfelt things about Rabbi Rubinstein, and our Teen Choir sang Oseh Shalom.  Finally, we fit as many children as we ever have onto the bimah to sing L’chi Lach with Rabbi and Kerry Rubinstein.
