Clergy Respond to Typhoon Disaster
November 13, 2013 | General News | Repairing the World
Our hearts go out to the Philippine people in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan. We are saddened by the tremendous loss of life and the many hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes. We may feel helpless in the wake of such violent natural disasters, but we can take action, pray for the Philippine people and support them in their relief efforts. It is inspiring to see the resilience of the human spirit and the compassion and generosity of the world community in the wake of these devastating storms.
The need for the relief efforts is great. Please consider giving aid.
These organizations are collecting money for relief efforts in response to Typhoon Haiyan:
Joint Distribution Committee Typhoon Relief Fund
Union for Reform Judaism Emergency Relief Fund
Warmly,
Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein
