The Boy: Special Screening and Conversation Honoring Filmmaker Yahav Winner

In memory of filmmaker Yahav Winner, who was killed on October 7 protecting his wife and young child, the Marlene Meyerson JCC is holding an evening honoring his life and work in Kibbutz Aza through film and conversation.

The program will feature Yahav’s short film The Boy, which powerfully captures the experience of living on a kibbutz on the border of Gaza, a recorded interview with his grandfather, a Holocaust survivor living in Ashkelon, and testimony of Yahav’s wife Shaylee which is part of a new project to capture testimonies of those impacted by the October 7 attack. Following the screening will be an in-person conversation with members of his family.

The 6:00 pm screening is sold-out. A new 7:30 pm screening and conversation has been added.
