Using a curriculum developed by the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, we will gain insights into the historical and ideological developments of Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, and Reconstructionist Judaism and ask how those developments speak to us today.

Join award-winning educational leader and best-selling author Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum and Rabbi Angela Buchdahl as they explore the role identity plays in Jewish spaces and the broader world. We encourage you to read Tatum’s Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? and to explore these resources for individual and group study. There will be a Q&A at the end of the presentation.
On October 27 at 7:30 pm, we will be holding a more intimate and participatory conversation with Rabbi Hilly Haber and writer/activist Eric Greene to further discuss and reflect on these important topics.
