7.5 ways to see Israel

Every Friday Beginning June 16, 2023, 7:15–8:00 pm and Every Wednesday Beginning June 21, 2023, 12:30–2:00 pm

In Person (Pavilion)

The complexities, successes, and beauty of Israel are explored in this exhibition marking the State of Israel's 75th anniversary. Featuring Israeli and New York-based artists, the works on view represent a broad and diverse perspective of life in Israel today, with an emphasis on historically underrepresented communities.

The exhibition presents seven themes: achievement, diversity, home, justice, imperfection, innovation, and shared society. An additional "half-theme" (the relationship between Israel and NYC) opens a door for us, New York City Jews, to contemplate our own connections with the State of Israel.

This exhibition is made possible in cooperation with The Jewish Agency for Israel, the UJA Federation of New York, Sagit Zluf Namir (Artistic Guidance), Ohad Kab (Art Director and Producer), and Liana Meirom Asif (Co-Producer).

Public viewing hours for this exhibition are Fridays from 7:15-8:00 pm (following Shabbat services) and Wednesdays from 12:30-2:00 pm in the Pavilion, located in the Sanctuary building (652 Lexington Avenue; entrance on 55th Street). The exhibition will be open until July 3.

For viewing requests outside of public hours and more information, please contact Rabbi Sarah Berman ([email protected]).
