Emily Bogdan joined Central’s Adult Engagement team in July 2023 as the Program Manager for Social Justice, working primarily with Rabbi Hilly Haber. Prior to Central, Emily worked at the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, helping to coordinate several coalitions and fellowships, including the New York Jewish Coalition for Criminal Justice Reform. She also previously worked for the Correctional Association of New York as a Monitoring Associate, assisting with monitoring and advocacy efforts for NYS prisons. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Skidmore College and a Master of Arts in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she focused her research on wrongful convictions and stigma towards people who commit specific criminal offenses. Emily lives on the Upper East Side and loves a good arts and crafts project, as well as traveling and spending time outdoors.
