We come together as a community to close out Pride Month with an evening of celebration, pride, and prayer. This year, we are honored to welcome Kenji Yoshino—Chief Justice Earl Warren, Professor of Constitutional Law at NYU School of Law, director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and co-author of Say The Right Thing: How To Talk About Identity, Diversity, and Justice – to our bimah.

Rabbi Hilly Haber, Central's LGBTQ CORE Group, Central members, and thousands of your fellow New Yorkers marched for the first time as a Central community in the NYC Pride Parade.

Rabbi Mike Moskowitz, Scholar-in-Residence for Trans & Queer Jewish Studies at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, joined us for a seminar on LGBTQ+ allyship and textual activism. Participants explored insights from traditional commentaries on the weekly Torah portion to frame and inform contemporary outlooks on allyship as a spiritual practice.
