We are thrilled to welcome Mikah Atkind to our community as our next Director of the Lese Center for Living Judaism (LCLJ). Mikah comes to us from Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge, NJ, where she is the Educational Director. Before coming to Avodat Shalom, Mikah was the Director of K-12 Learning at Temple Beth Avodah in her home state of Massachusetts. Mikah is a graduate of Brandeis and holds a Dual Masters in Jewish Education and Non-Profit Management from HUC-JIR.

Mikah’s selection comes after an extensive national search, and we are confident that she will be a wonderful leader for the LCLJ. Everyone who met Mikah was impressed with her warmth, creativity, and deep educational knowledge, and we know she will be a great fit for our team.

Mikah will start at Central in July, and we look forward to giving her lots of chances to get to know you, your children, and the Central community.
