Teen Civil Rights Journey

Posted April 23, 2013

In April, our 8th and 9th graders spent four days on a Civil Rights Journey to the South.  Highlights of the trip included visits to the Rosa Parks Museum and the Southern Poverty Law Center, meetings with prominent members of the Civil Rights movement such as Bishop Woods and Joanne Bland, Shabbat worship at Temple Beth Or in Montgomery, and seeing the Jackie Robinson movie.
