Central Synagogue volunteers with Habitat for Humanity during Martin Luther King, Jr., Day weekend

A few of our congregants, including Carol-Ann Ross and Harold Levine, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity as part of the national MLK Day of Service as part of a large interfaith crew at the Lillian Ward Senior Center on the Lower East Side. In addition to painting work, the volunteers enjoyed a fascinating presentation by a librarian from the Jewish Theological Seminary about the relationship between Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Jewish community.
