Upcoming Trips & Retreats:

Family Trip to Israel

Late December 2020*

Travel across Israel with your family, Cantor Daniel Mutlu, and the Central community. From Haifa to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv to the Negev Desert, come explore the sights and sounds that have inspired and enchanted generations before us. This is a unique opportunity for your entire family (siblings and grandparents too!) to come together and learn, have fun, explore, and gain an appreciation for Israel and all it represents.

One of the highlights in our journey will be a special service where your child will have the opportunity to chant Torah in the place where it all began. Participants from previous Israel trips have described this experience as incredibly moving and transformational.

An information session will be scheduled soon. We hope you’ll join us on what is sure to be an unforgettable trip.

Teen Trip to Israel

Late December 2020–early January 2021*

More than your typical Israel tour — uncover the unseen side of Israel side-by-side with Central clergy, staff, and other CenSyn Teens.

This first-ever Central teen trip to Israel, led by Rabbi Dan Ross, Rabbi Rebecca Rosenthal, Merissa Hochberg, and Amanda Phillips, will be a highlight of your teen’s Jewish education.

Together, we will see more than the typical sites of Israel. Of course we will go to Jerusalem, visit the Western Wall, Yad Vashem, Tel Aviv and see the Negev Desert, among many other fascinating points of interest.

We will also meet with Ethiopian Jews, a Jewish-Arab-Christian youth group, and Palestinian teens, and learn what it means to be LGBTQ in Israel. We will ride a camel in the Negev Desert, and spend the night in a sukkah. And we will go beyond the Green Line to meet with participants of a program bringing West Bank Palestinians and their Jewish neighbors together.

You can see the full details of this trip, organized by our long-time partners Arza, here.
