Innocent Knowledge: Israeli and Palestinian Children’s Drawings

Innocent Knowledge is a project that shares children’s voices and imagination through art. Created in classrooms, community centers, and shelters, these drawings were made by close to 400 children between October 2024 and June 2025 by children in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. Some were drawn during calm; others while sirens sounded or violence returned. These images offer no headlines or answers. They are quiet glimpses into how children observe, imagine, and endure. Each is a private world made public.

This exhibition does not represent all children or all truths. It offers something else: a shared archive of vision and witness. We are all invited to sit beside the child behind the image, whoever that child is. Each section of the exhibition features a QR code that connects you to a multilingual website with more information about each child’s context, without revealing their identity.

Viewing Hours:

Public viewing hours are in the Pavilion on Fridays from 7:15-8:00 pm (following Shabbat services) and Wednesdays from 12:30-2:00 pm. The exhibition will be closed on September 12, September 17, September 24, and October 8 as we prepare for the high holiday season. Please take a close look at our calendar.
