Hosted Chelsea Feuchs, Rabbinic Intern
After a morning of prayer and contemplation, join these small-group learning sessions with rabbis, artists and teachers, to explore the big question of Yom Kippur: What does God want from us?
We learn from the prophet Isaiah that simply calling out to God does not guarantee a response, so he provides guidance to increase the likelihood that we will be heard. Come study this Yom Kippur haftarah (prophetic text) alongside two other High Holy Day haftarot, the stories of Hannah and Jonah, to discern what makes for effective, persuasive prayer.
