Date: Wednesday, May 1 at 6:00 pm
Location: St. Peter’s Church, 619 Lexington Avenue
We continue our decades-long tradition of partnering with Saint Peter’s Church to observe Yom HaShoah—Holocaust Remembrance Day— and show that people of all faiths are committed to ending genocide and memorializing this dark chapter in our history.
Hear from Marty Brounstein, author of Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust. Brounstein recounts the true story of Catholic couple Frans and Mien Wijnakker, who saved at least two dozen Dutch Jews during the Holocaust and World War II—among them, Brounstein’s spouse.
Rabbi Ari Lorge, Cantor Dan Mutlu, and St. Peter’s Pastor Amandus J. Derr will lead the interfaith service. Arrive early to receive your own Holocaust Memorial Guide, created by our LCLJ 6th grade class.
