Register.
From: 6:00 pm - 6:30pm
Details:
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with Central’s Clergy and come together as a community in song, prayer, and words of hope. Each night, a special guest will share a few words about their work relating to justice and social reform in our country, as they reimagine their work in the light of the Chanukah candles.
Special guests will include: David Barber (Co-Founder/Owner Blue Hill Farm); Reverand Winnie Varghese (Trinity Church Wall Street); Kerry Brodie (Emma’s Torch); Tommy Kail (Director of Hamilton); Alice Greenwald (President & CEO, 9/11 Memorial and Museum); Yehudah Webster (Co-founder of Ammud, Jews of Color Torah Academy and Organizer, JFRE); Robbie Kaplan (lawyer and human rights advocate); Julio Medina, Pastor Jose Humphreys, and Nora Reissig (Exodus Transitional Communities).
(Please note there will not be a special guest on Friday evening as we will light candles as part of our Shabbat service.)
Help our Synagogue continue to shine brightly as a force of optimism and hope by donating to our annual campaign. Your gift will help support everything that makes Central unique and special.
