Join us for a Tu BiSh’vat Seder, as we celebrate the Jewish New Year of trees! Observed on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Sh’vat at a time when trees in Israel are first starting to bloom, modern Jews celebrate it as a day of environmental awareness, expressing joy and thankfulness for trees, harvests, and the natural world. At our Seder we will dine on the seven Biblical species (“A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey [Deut. 8:8].”) – and share stories about our own roots.
From: 7:00 pm - 9:00pm
What issues do we at Central care about most? What values shape us as individuals and as a community? Please join us as we wrap up our Listening Campaign and, together, plan our course of action for how we can have an impact on issues of injustice in our city and state. Be part of the conversation and get involved as we enact Central’s commitment to tikkun olam, repairing the world. Dinner will be served!
