A Land of Promise with Danielle Sered and Rabbi Hilly Haber

Tuesday, March 28, 7:30-8:30 pm

In-Person (Central Synagogue Pavilion) & Virtual (Zoom Webinar)

Violent crimes have increased nationwide since 2020. How do we discuss questions of violence, repair, and freedom – and how can we center the voices of those most impacted? As we recall our ancestors’ journey to the Promised Land during Passover, we reflect on our nation’s current journey to becoming a “Promised Land” of justice for all. Join Rabbi Hilly Haber and Danielle Sered to explore how Passover’s timely lessons can be applied to our world today.

Danielle Sered is the Founder and Director of Common Justice, an organization that develops and advances solutions to violence that transform the lives of those harmed through restorative justice practices without relying on incarceration. She is the author of several books, including Until We Reckon: Violence, Mass Incarceration, and a Road to Repair.

This is a hybrid event. In-person attendance is encouraged. There is a Zoom Webinar option for those who prefer to attend virtually.
