David Edelson has been a senior vice president of Loews Corporation since May 2005 and its chief financial officer since May 2014. Prior to joining Loews, David was executive vice president & corporate treasurer at J.P. Morgan Chase. David is also a director of AutoNation, Inc.
David earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1985 and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981 with an A.B. in English.
David and his wife Cindy have been members of Central Synagogue since 1999. They have three children – Charlotte, Annabel, and Oliver – all of whom have flown the coop. David became a Central trustee in 2004, served as an officer from 2006-2009, and as president from 2012-2015.
David currently serves as president of the Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services, a governor of the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, a board member of the American Jewish Committee New York, a member of the finance committee of UJA-Federation of New York, and, at Dartmouth, a co-chair of the 1769 Society and a member of the New York Regional Campaign Committee.
