Danielle Rodnizki is a cantorial student in the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion. She is thrilled to be deepening her learning, pursuing her passion, and continuing to serve the Jewish community through her studies.
In 2013, Danielle graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Spanish Literature and Psychology. While living in St. Louis, she taught religious school music, led worship, and coached teen song leaders at several local congregations.
After graduating from college, Danielle spent two years working full time as the Cantorial Soloist at Temple B’nai Israel (Clearwater, FL), where she ultimately decided that she wanted to pursue the cantorate. She has been song leading and leading worship for more than 10 years, and is honored to have sung with camps, synagogues, and youth groups across the US. Danielle has most recently served as Summer Cantorial Intern at Temple Israel of Boston (Boston, MA), Cantorial Intern at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue (New York, NY), and Songleading Major Teacher at URJ Kutz Camp (Warwick, NY).
Danielle believes that something holy happens when people sit together and sing, and she is thrilled to be joining the Central Synagogue community!
