Amy is so excited to join Central’s warm community as the Family Engagement Director. Amy comes with experience across the Jewish education world. She worked for five years as a day school teacher, spent multiple summers working at the Nesiya Institute and Ramah Berkshires, and most recently, worked in supplemental Jewish education as Assistant Director of the Park Avenue Synagogue Congregational School. Amy loves connecting families to the rich tradition and values of Judaism.
After college, Amy spent four life altering years living in Israel, the majority of her time in Jerusalem. She earned an MA in Jewish Education from Hebrew College in Newton, MA, and a Certificate of Advanced Jewish Studies from the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem. She believes in the power of Torah to help us make meaning in our lives. She received her BA from Bryn Mawr College, double majoring in the History of Art and Spanish.
Growing up right outside NYC, Amy has always loved going to the city’s museums. Today, she enjoys exploring NYC and traveling with her husband and her two young sons. When she can, she likes to collage and to satisfy her sweet tooth by adding to her baking repertoire and trying out new recipes.
Today more than ever we rely on you to support our educational, community, and spiritual programs that are so important to Central members and the Jewish community-at-large. If you are able, please support our Annual Yom Kippur Appeal today with a tax-deductible contribution.
