Gabrielle is looking forward to her first year as an LCLJ educator! Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Gabrielle recently graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in Psychology. There, she worked in several research labs, investigating the impact of socioeconomic status on infant cognitive development as well as attachment and separation patterns in toddlers. Her enthusiasm for Jewish education comes from years spent as a madricha for the Temple Solel Pre-K, and summers as a camp counselor for Camp Swift, a non-profit summer camp that brings together Jewish counselors and children from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Of course, her growing love of Judaism was bolstered by hours spent in the kitchen trying to discover the secret to her mother’s Challah recipe!
When Gabrielle is not at Central, she can be found searching for the best ice cream in the city or practicing yoga wherever there’s room for a downward dog. She is so excited to be part of the Central Synagogue community!
