Naomi is thrilled to join the Youth and Family Engagement team after three years as an LCLJ Educator. She is passionate about building relationships with young families and helping them to find the beauty that Judaism has to offer. Hailing from the Lone Star State, she earned her BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at the University of Texas at Austin where she was involved in Jewish campus life and Israel activism. Naomi moved to New York City to pursue an MA in Jewish Education from The Jewish Theological Seminary. She continued her involvement through her work at Baruch College Hillel, spent her summers as a ropes course instructor at Camp Ramah Nyack, and taught in a variety of Jewish early childhood settings. Naomi also co-chairs the Young Jewish Professional’s group at her synagogue, Or Zarua.
During her free time, Naomi can be found dancing along to live music, reading a good book, volunteering for local causes, exploring the beautiful outdoors and enjoying the culinary experience that is NYC. She lives on the UES with her husband, Sherman, and their dog, Mallomar.
