Rina is so excited to be a part of the LCLJ team for her second year. Originally from Michigan, Rina received a BA in Arts and Humanities from Michigan State University. She spent her junior year at Tel Aviv University. The diversity and vibrancy of Jewish culture in Tel Aviv made a lasting impression and led her to pursue an MA from the Jewish Theological Seminary in Judaic Studies. Rina’s professional experience includes teaching Hebrew, Jewish art, food, and more to students ages 4–94; mentoring middle and high school students; and interning as a chaplain at a level-one trauma hospital.
Outside of work, Rina is one half of Gateau Gato, a vegetarian food blog with a periodic cat feature. She loves to cook, paint, embroider, hoard cookbooks, and work on crossword puzzles at bakeries around the city.
