Rina is so excited to be a part of the LCLJ team! Originally from outside of Detroit, Rina received a B.A. from Michigan State University in Arts and Humanities, and spent her junior year at Tel Aviv University. The diversity and vibrancy of Jewish culture in Tel Aviv made a lasting impression, and led her to pursue an M.A. from the Jewish Theological Seminary in Judaic Studies. Rina’s professional experience includes teaching students ages 4-94 (Henry just had his 95th birthday, mazal to him), mentoring middle and high school students, and interning as a chaplain at a level-one trauma hospital. Outside of work, Rina is one half of Gateau Gato, a vegetarian food blog with a weekly cat feature. She loves to cook, bake, sing, paint and spend hours at the Hungarian Pastry Shop doing crosswords.
