Dear Congregants:
As I witness the horror in Japan I consider the words of Psalm 27:
“Do not hide Your face from me, do not thrust aside Your servant in anger. You have ever been my help. Do not forsake me, do not abandon me.”
Our community continues to pray with and for those whose lives have been affected by recent cataclysmic upheaval. Additionally Central Synagogue has pledged $10,000 on our membership’s behalf to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee’s Japan Earthquake Relief Effort.
Our thoughts are with the people of Japan.
