Central Synagogue

When we gather together for a sacred purpose, we endure.

Avodah

Central Synagogue provides a joyous opportunity for Jews of diverse backgrounds to come together for prayer, spiritual renewal and community in a warm, enriching environment.

Weekday, Shabbat and holiday services offer an opportunity for members and non-members of all ages and life circumstances to step off the anonymous, busy streets of New York City and find themselves part of a community. Members of our shamashim corps greet and usher each person into our magnificent sanctuary for prayer and song, learning and inspiration. Every worshipper and guest is encouraged to participate; we provide the tools necessary to join in the liturgy, be it English or Hebrew, spoken or sung. Baruch Ata b'voecha, u'varuch Ata b'tzetecha - may every soul be blessed in entering and in going forth.

I want to make you aware of the following information.
