Sahra and William Lese Religious School

Our fourth grade students will learn about themselves and the role Judaism plays in their lives through the study of Torah. By delving into the stories of the Torah in chronological order, the children will come to understand how the Jewish people grew to be a mighty nation with a strong relationship with God. Students will recognize that the Torah’s teachings and themes rest at the core of the Jewish community today, just as they have for thousands of years. They will be able to apply the lessons, morals, ethics, and values learned from Torah stories to their individual lives as Jewish children living in America today. Through interactive experiences and dramatic depictions of biblical stories, students will receive an education that expands beyond the typical reading of the text and allows them to creatively demonstrate their personal connection with our religion’s most integral text.
