How can Jewish ethical values and virtues enrich and guide us, be it in our personal conduct, or in our relationships with others and with God? Our texts and tradition speak to us about how to live an ethical and meaningful existence. They embrace matters ranging from hachnasat orchim (welcoming of guests) to miyut sichah (minimizing small talk), as just two examples of values that can inform our everyday behavior. We will encounter, explore, and struggle with these concepts as they emerge in biblical and rabbinic sources. We will discuss how these teachings inspire us to live more spiritual and fulfilling lives, and help us create families and communities built on respect and trust.
