Pathways to Jewish Knowledge

Tuesday March 16, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Location: Community House - Room 503

Yonni Wattenmaker, Director of Lifelong Learning and Marion Lev Cohen, MSW and Rabbinical Intern

For many of us, our formal Jewish education ended with our Bar or Bat Mitzvah, leaving us with a child’s view of our religion and one of the world’s greatest civilizations.  As adults we approach Judaism asking how it can enrich our lives today, with a desire for Judaic competency and literacy. Pathways to Jewish Knowledge will address these twin goals of thought and practice. We will explore Jewish life cycle events, holidays, theological precepts and prayer, starting with the fundamentals and beyond. We aspire to create a community of learners committed to learning and respectful dialogue.  Please bring lunch with you.

For more information please contact Yonni Wattenmaker, Director of Lifelong Learning at 212-838-5122 Extension 4031.
