Central Synagogue’s Career Support Initiative (CSI) is pleased to invite you to its first informational and networking event. In these uncertain economic times, many career tracks have been disrupted and some job categories have disappeared entirely. CSI’s kick-off program, “Taking the Leap: Becoming an Entrepreneur,” will focus on career development and provide ideas to expand your thinking and maybe even excite you to start, buy or invent your own company! Reception to follow panel. Meet, talk and network with panelists and fellow congregants.
Led by Liz Hamburg, a panel of entrepreneurs will share their experiences and advice for those considering starting a small business, leaving the corporate track for independent work. Topics will include how to get funding, realities, risks and rewards of entrepreneurship, what to expect and how to develop a winning strategy. There will be ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions, meet others, network, and to get perspective on their career options.
