As the Manager of Community Building at Central Synagogue, Jessica Layton collaborates with Central’s members and Neighbors to develop and sustain meaningful connections with one another.
With a background primarily in community engagement and art education, Jessica was previously a Field Manager at OneTable, where she supported folks in the Washington, D.C., area in building authentic Shabbat practices. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from George Washington University, where her research centered on the intersection of art and labor. Jessica is interested in how institutions shape the relationships people have with art, Judaism, and one another. Outside of Central, she enjoys spending time getting to know her local community in Queens.

We hope you will support Central Synagogue this High Holy Day season. Contributions to Central Synagogue have a major impact on all of our work, helping make possible our worship services, music, livestream broadcasts, and so much more. Thank you for being part of our Central Synagogue family.
